Kyle Seager Drawing Trade Interest
5 years agoSeattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager is drawing trade interest from multiple teams with the demand for third basemen exceeding the supply, according to major league sources. The 32-year-old Seager would be an option for teams that missed out on Anthony Rendon and Josh Donaldson in free agency and Kris Bryant in a trade. At least five teams -- the Nationals, Braves, Rangers, Dodgers and Twins -- are considering upgrades at the hot corner. Seager has a $15 million club option for 2022 that will convert to a player option if he is traded. The left-handed hitter started late in 2019 because of a hand injury and finished with a .239/.321/.468 slash line, 23 home runs and 63 RBI in 106 games. With better health and in a better environment than the rebuilding M's, Seager could be a nice value pick in fantasy drafts next year.
