Philadelphia Phillies interim manager Rob Thomson provided an update on injured outfielder Kyle Schwarber (calf) on Tuesday. He stated that Schwarber likely won't be back in the starting lineup until Friday, when the team opens a four-game series against the New York Mets. However, Thomson added that Schwarber will be available to pinch hit in the team's next two games before then. The 29-year-old is currently dealing with calf soreness. He has been out of the starting lineup since last Thursday, but he appeared as a pinch-hitter on Saturday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
