Kurt Kitayama is set to make his second career start in the Farmers Insurance Open this week. Kitayama missed the cut in his Torrey Pines debut last year. In his first full season on the PGA Tour last year, the 30-year-old proved himself to be a volatile performer with intriguing upside, as he missed the cut in half of his 24 starts but also scored three top-three finishes. Kitayama again flashed his potential during the fall portion of the schedule by recording a runner-up finish in the Zozo Championship.
