The Kansas City Royals optioned starting pitcher Kris Bubic to Triple-A Omaha on Friday. Bubic had a rough spring training with the club, allowing 14 hits, four walks and seven earned runs over 7 1/3 innings. The 23-year-old Bubic produced mixed results in his first shot in the Majors last year. He made 10 starts and went 1-6 with a 4.32 ERA and 1.48 WHIP while averaging 8.8 K/9. As long as he settles down at Triple-A, there's a good chance he gets called up for a spot start or a chance to rejoin the rotation early in the year.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
