Kodai Senga Throws Off a Mound
Kodai Senga (hamstring) was scheduled to play catch off a mound on Monday, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. Senga has been able to keep his arm moving after suffering a Grade 1 right-hamstring strain on June 12 in his start against the Washington Nationals. Although the 32-year-old's hamstring strain is mild, the Mets aren't going to rush him back and he's not expected to rejoin the big-league starting rotation until after the mid-July All-Star break. Fantasy managers must remain patient until then and keep him stashed in an injured-list spot in all leagues. Senga made only one start in his second year in the big leagues in 2024 due to injury. He hasn't been able to avoid injury this year, either, but he's gone 7-3 with a strong 1.47 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 70 K's and 31 walks in 13 starts (73 2/3 innings) this year.
