The New York Mets have met with Kodai Senga and his agents as they seek to remake their starting rotation heading into the 2023 season. The meeting reportedly went well with the 29-year-old, who is said to be seeking a win-now team in a big market. The Mets certainly fit that bill, and should a deal formalize down the line, they would be hoping Senga can repeat his considerable NPB success in the states. Senga has compiled a 2.42 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 10 K/9 in 11 NPB seasons, including an outstanding 2022 campaign in which he had a record of 11-6 and an ERA of 1.94.--Doug GoldringRead More News
