Khalil Herbert Leads Backfield In Week 16 Win
12 months agoChicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert had his second-best showing of the season in the team's 27-16 victory over the Cardinals, operating as the lead back. The 25-year-old set a season-high in rushing yards and attempts, running 20 times for 112 yards and a touchdown. With D'Onta Foreman out due to personal reasons, Herbert stepped in as the lead back and had a very productive day against a weak Cardinals' run defense. The Bears jumped out to an early lead and leaned on the run game, with Herbert as the primary beneficiary. The Bears take on the Falcons in Week 17, who allow the second-fewest points per game to running backs this season. If Foreman is out again, Herbert has value, but otherwise, the Bears' backfield is wise to avoid.
