Kevin Shattenkirk In Discussions With A "Few Teams"
3 months agoVeteran defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk remains unsigned ahead of the new season but has drawn some interest from teams. Shattenkirk's agent, George Bazos, recently told TSN's Pierre LeBrun that they are in discussions with a "few teams," and Shattenkirk "absolutely" still wants to play. The American blue-liner is 35 and coming off a one-year, $1.05 million deal with the Boston Bruins. Shattenkirk had a decent year in Boston, logging 24 points (six goals, 18 assists) in 61 contests with 85 blocks and 63 hits. The former All-Star, who won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2020, will have a chance to get to 1,000 career games in 2024-25 if he lands a new contract. Shattenkirk has tallied 103 goals and 484 points across 952 regular-season appearances.
