Kevin Harvick Driving No. 29 In The All-Star Race
2 years agoKevin Harvick will drive in his final All-Star race, and he will do it with a new number. Harvick will ditch his usual No. 4 in favor of his original No. 29, complete with the paint scheme he had upon winning the NASCAR Championship on March 11, 2001, for Richard Childress Racing. After Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s death at Daytona in 2001, Richard Childress tabbed Harvick, who was racing in the Busch Series (known today as the Xfinity Series), to take over the No. 3 car. The number was changed from No. 3 to No. 29. Harvick will give it one last ride here at North Wilkesboro on Sunday.
