Kerryon Johnson Draws Tough Matchup In Week 9
6 years agoDetroit Lions running back Kerryon Johnson is coming off his second-lowest usage of the season last week against the Seahawks. While Detroit abandoned the run in the second half last week, Johnson got his in the passing game to save his fantasy day, catching six passes for 69 yards. It could be much of the same this week with Theo Riddick (knee) still questionable to return. The Vikings boast a tough run defense, allowing just over 600 yards and two rushing touchdowns so far; however, they have allowed over 440 yards to backs in the passing game. Monitor Riddick's availability, but if Detroit is able to jump ahead early it will benefit Johnson. Consider him a low-end RB2 this week, with a bump in PPR formats.
