Kenley Jansen Blows Save, Gets Win Tuesday
3 years agoAtlanta Braves closer Kenley Jansen got bailed out by his offense in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Phillies. Jansen entered to pitch the top of the ninth up 4-3. He got Rhys Hoskins to pop out for the first out, but then walked Alec Bohm and allowed a massive two-run home run to Bryce Harper before getting the final two outs on groundouts. Fortunately for him, the Braves were able to capitalize on a costly error in the bottom half of the inning to win the game 6-5, making Jansen the pitcher of record. The veteran started the season very well but has now allowed earned runs in each of his last three outings and has two blown saves in those games. There isn't really much for fantasy managers to do at this time, as Jansen is the team's clear closer and has a respectable 3.86 ERA. Hopefully, he can get things back on the right track in the coming days.
