4 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers selected Illinois offensive lineman Kendrick Green with the No. 87 overall pick in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft on Friday night. Green should become the instant starter under center for the Steelers next season, snapping balls for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He can also play guard, which gives the Steelers some flexibility. Green is explosive and naturally long at 6-foot-4, 315 pounds. He's a bit undersized but makes up for it with his quick feet and great reaction skills. Green gave up zero sacks on 226 pass-blocking attempts last year. This is a great selection for the Steelers offense as a whole in what will likely be Big Ben's final NFL season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
