Kendre Miller 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Year 2 Leap Halted By Health
4 months agoNew Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller (hamstring) failed to make his mark in his rookie campaign, participating in just eight games with 41 rushing attempts for 156 yards and one touchdown, most of which came in Week 18. Furthermore, he played more than 20% of the offensive snaps only four times. When he was on the field, he made an impact, teasing fantasy managers with his potential. He outperformed Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams in most rushing categories, including yards after contact per attempt, missed tackles forced per attempt, and elusive rating, albeit over a small sample size. The team neglected to bolster their backfield during the offseason, indicating they believe in the third-rounder's talent. Unfortunately, another injury-plagued offseason has resulted in him landing on the injured reserve, meaning he'll miss at least the first four games. Additionally, comments from head coach Dennis Allen suggest a hesitancy to rely on Miller, which could limit his opportunity even when he does return to full health. He's worth a stash in deeper leagues with an IR spot or in dynasty formats, but the odds of him becoming a difference-maker are slim.
