Kel'el Ware Headed To Miami
6 months agoThe Miami Heat have drafted center Kel'el Ware out of Indiana with the 15th overall pick in the NBA draft. Despite Bam Adebayo occupying the starting center role, the Heat decided to go with a prospect who could potentially be his backup in the seven-footer from Arkansas. The big man played his freshman year at Oregon until deciding to transfer for his sophomore season and play at Indiana. In that year, Ware averaged 15.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.9 blocks, and 1.6 turnovers per game. He did step out and shoot the deep ball at a rate of 1.3 attempts per game and he knocked down 42.5% of them. This gives him a bit of pick-and-pop ability while also being a rim protector on the defensive end.
