Keibert Ruiz Drives In Three Before Exiting
Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz hit his first career double Saturday, clearing the bases against Wil Crowe and the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fourth inning of a 10-7 loss. It was Ruiz's only hit in two at-bats before being hit in the face by a pitch and exiting the game. X-rays came back negative, but Ruiz can be expected to sit out for a few days at least. He could be a deep-league consideration in two-catcher formats for the last few weeks of this season, but he stands to be a better option in keeper and dynasty formats, as he could be a borderline top-10 backstop next season.
