Winger Kailer Yamamoto has signed a one-year contract worth $1.5 million with the Seattle Kraken. The 24-year-old had an eventful week, as he got traded by the Oilers to Detroit, but only for the Red Wings to buy out his contract. This made Yamamoto an unrestricted free agent and he managed to land himself a contract with the newest NHL franchise. Yamamoto struggled to perform last term, but he had a solid 20-goal, 41-point campaign in 2021-22, and the former first-round pick will look to get back to the level in the upcoming season as a middle-six forward for the Kraken.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
