Kadarius Toney Puts In Limited Practice
3 years agoNew York Giants rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney (thumb) was able to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday. Toney played through an ankle injury in the Monday night loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but he also injured his thumb in the process. The injury shouldn't keep the 22-year-old from playing in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders, though, and he could be quarterback Daniel Jones' top target with Kenny Golladay (knee) still ailing and Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) expected to miss some time with a new injury. Toney had just four catches on five targets for 26 yards in the Monday night loss to the Kansas City Chiefs after spending time on the sidelines and in the locker room. However, the upside is real, as evidenced by his 10-catch, 189-yard game in Week 5. If he can just stay on the field this weekend, he'll be a WR3/flex with upside.
