2 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic could be out the door this offseason with the team reportedly ready to move on from him. It is believed that Portland will try to move Nurkic in a trade alongside Damian Lillard if the franchise indeed decides to part ways with the superstar. "I would not say it would be a package deal or anything like that," one Eastern Conference general manager told Sean Deveney of Heavy Sports. "But Portland is going to prefer where they can trade Dame and say, 'Here's Nurk, too.' Lillard has said that Brooklyn and Miami are his preferred destinations. Nurkic has struggled to stay on the floor in recent seasons and played just 52 games in 2022-23. He averaged 13.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 26.8 minutes.
