3 months agoSeattle Mariners pitching prospect Justus Sheffield has been demoted to Double-A Arkansas in order to get on track. The left-hander has given up 23 runs and 12 walks in his last four games at Triple-A Tacoma for a 6.87 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 12 starts and one relief outing over 55 innings on the farm. The 23-year-old southpaw also didn't look very good in his one spot start for the M's in 2019 and is certainly losing some of his prospect luster because of his poor performance this year. Sheffield came into the year as Seattle's No. 1 prospect, the No. 36 overall prospect and the No. 5 left-handed pitching prospect in baseball. He's no longer a must-hold in deeper leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
