Justin Thomas Looking To Bounce Back At Travelers Championship
6 months agoIt was a typical putting week for Justin Thomas at Pinehurst No. 2 -- it was bad. But the more than six shots he lost over the first two rounds were anything but typical. In fact, it was the first time JT has lost an average of over one stroke with his irons at a single event since, ironically, the U.S. Open a year ago. His history at TPC River Highlands has been either feast or famine, but throwing last week's debacle out the window gives us a player who is hitting and chipping it well enough to put together a decent four days. At $10,300, Thomas is a good pick for those looking for ownership leverage compared to the more proven guys around him, especially considering there isn't a cut for him to sweat.
