Justin Steele Making His Seventh Start Friday
Justin Steele will make Friday's start against Edward Cabrera and the Miami Marlins. It will be his seventh start of the season, and through his first six, he has a 4-0 record with a 1.49 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 23.0% strikeout rate, and 7.9% walk rate over 36.1 innings, and has added five quality starts. Steele has so far improved from last season when he pitched to a 3.18 ERA and 3.20 FIP with a 4-7 record across 24 appearances. The 27-year-old won't keep his ERA that low all year long, but with his skill set, he can be a decent contributor in four categories.
