Justin Haley was so close to his first NASCAR win of the season on Sunday in Chicago. The race was scheduled for 100 laps originally but wound up going 78 due to impending darkness. Haley and his Kaulig Racing car started from the back of the field. Little of that mattered as his car got faster and faster as the race wore along. Haley led most of the final third of the race (23 laps) before getting overtaken by Shane Van Gisbergen on lap 70. Even then, Haley made a pass later that lap only to be passed for good soon after. His second place result drew lots of notice and praise. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
