Justin Fields Limited Again Thursday
3 years agoChicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields (ribs) was limited once again in practice on Thursday. Fields is battling through fractured ribs that he suffered in Week 12, and the injury kept him out of the Thanksgiving win last Thursday over the Detroit Lions. But the 22-year-old is trending towards a return this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals and their fresh defense as they come out of their bye week. It's looking like he won't have wide receivers Allen Robinson II (hamstring) and Marquise Goodwin (foot, ribs), which won't help Fields' cause as a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues. On top of it, the Cardinals defense allows the fourth-fewest passing yards per game (204) in 2021. Fields has yet to throw for over 300 yards in any of his first eight NFL starts and has a 4:7 touchdown-to-interception ratio with 29 sacks taken.
