10 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (hand) is scheduled to take some flips in the batting cages at spring training on Tuesday, and things are moving in a good direction. Rodriguez is day-to-day with some inflammation in his left hand. It's nothing serious, but the Mariners aren't going to take any chances with one of the best overall players in the game early in spring training. Depending on how he feels, the 23-year-old could return to Cactus League play later this week, and he should be totally fine by Opening Day. J-Rod made a statement in his sophomore season in 2023 and was an All-Star for the second straight year to begin his MLB career.
