Julian Strawther Pushes Nuggets Past Knicks
1 year agoDenver Nuggets small forward Julian Strawther led the team with 25 points in the final Summer League game against the Knicks on Saturday, shooting 8-for-16 from the field and leading his side to an 89-86 win. He sank five triples with 11 attempts and also led his squad with nine rebounds, whilst adding two assists, one steal, and one block to his stat line. The Gonzaga product looked shaky in his first couple of Summer League outings but appeared to get better with each game and ended up posting 20-plus points in each of his final three appearances. Strawther looks promising, but the 2023-24 campaign is set to be more of a learning curve for him in the NBA, with a number of players ahead of him in the Nuggets rotation.
