Josh Winckowski Continues To Impress In Triple-A
3 years agoBoston Red Sox pitching prospect Josh Winckowski threw a gem for Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday. The right-hander tossed seven innings and allowed three hits, zero runs, one walk and struck out six on the evening. Winckowski has been having an excellent year for Worcester and improved to 2-2 with a 3.38 ERA and 0.96 WHIP to go along with 43 strikeouts in 42 2/3 innings in nine starts. The 23-year-old made his debut with the Red Sox in a spot start earlier this year and it wouldn't be surprising to see him back at the big-league level this summer. Winckowski offers more value in dynasty leagues at the moment and if he's recalled, managers in redraft leagues can take a wait-and-see approach.
