Josh Johnson Throws For 74 Yards In Relief
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Josh Johnson completed 7-of-13 passes for 74 yards in the Niners' 7-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. Johnson came in to relieve Brock Purdy after the rookie left the game with an elbow injury. He faced heavy pressure from an elite Eagles defense and was sacked twice. On one hit in the third quarter, Johnson's head was slammed into the turf, which caused him to be removed and put in concussion protocol. Johnson has been a career backup since entering the league in 2009, and he will not be a relevant player in fantasy football.
