Josh Gordon 2019 Player Outlooks: Redemption Part II
5 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon will get another shot at NFL redemption with the New England Patriots in 2019. Gordon was reinstated from the commissioners exempt list late in the preseason, but will get the chance to line up for the Patriots in Week 1. Gordon has flashed his extraordinary talent in the past, and was having success in New England prior to leaving the team last season. In 11 games he had 720 yards, with three touchdowns on 68 targets and 40 receptions. His catch% was not ideal, sitting below 60%, but it is always tough joining a team late and hopefully he built up enough rapport with Brady last season to improve that efficiency in 2019. If Gordon gets it right and can stay on the field he has the ability to be a must-start receiver every week, especially with Brady looking for a new touchdown threat without recently retired Rob Gronkowski. The value on Gordon right now is rising, but his history means that there is always a chance his current ADP will still present value come seasons end. However, beware it could all come crashing down very quickly.
