Jose Urena Delivers Third Straight Quality Start
4 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Jose Urena had a strong outing in Tuesday's win over the Chicago White Sox. He pitched seven innings and allowed seven hits, three walks and two runs (one earned) while striking out two. He earned his first win of the year, improving to 1-3. Urena now has three-straight quality starts, going seven innings in each of the three outings. He has a solid 3.77 ERA on the year, but a high WHIP of 1.43 and a low strikeout rate of 17.1%. In deep leagues and AL-only leagues, he can be considered as a streaming option while he's pitching well like this, but he's risky and doesn't have very much upside. His next start will be on Sunday against the New York Yankees.
