Jose Miranda Out Again On Saturday
5 months agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Jose Miranda (back) is out of the starting lineup again on Saturday afternoon for the second consecutive game due to back stiffness. The 26-year-old should be considered day-to-day for the time being and may also sit out on Sunday and continue to rest over the All-Star Break. The 26-year-old has enjoyed a nice breakout season as he has posted a stellar .325/.366/.522 line with nine home runs and two stolen bases. Earlier this month, Miranda held an incredible 13-game hitting streak and even tallied 13 consecutive hits, which set a new record. As a result, rookie Brooks Lee will start at the hot corner this afternoon and bat in the cleanup spot. Lee has held a strong .333 AVG across his previous nine games and is worth a look in DFS this afternoon as he will face San Francisco right-hander Hayden Birdsong.
