Jose Berrios Has Two NL West Suitors
MLB.com's Jon Morosi reported the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers are interested in Minnesota Twins starter Jose Berrios. Inquiries regarding the 27-year-old right-hander have spiked after multiple reports suggest the Twins have upped their desire to sell. Currently boasting a 3.48 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 26 percent strikeout rate, Berrios would certainly bolster both rival squads that have endured myriad setbacks to their rotations. Berrios is also arbitration-eligible in 2022, enhancing his attractiveness. Berrios has been a reliable arm in six big league seasons, carrying a 4.08 ERA in 135 career starts. While a potential move to the NL appears to enhance his fantasy value, it'll likely be negated by his departure from a weak AL Central. Whatever happens, Berrios should remain a solid SP2/3 in all mixed formats.
