Jose Altuve, Collin McHugh Starting Rehab Assignments Friday
6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (hamstring, knee) and pitcher Collin McHugh (elbow) will start their rehab assignments with Triple-A Round Rock on Friday. It'll be the second time Altuve goes out on a rehab assignment after suffering a setback. The 29-year-old All-Star could return to Houston's lineup early next week if all goes well. He's hitting .243 with nine homers, 21 runs and 21 RBI, but his owners haven't been all that thrilled with just the one steal. It's unlikely that Altuve runs all that much right away when he returns from his lower-body injuries. McHugh has struggled this year with a 6.04 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 48 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings over eight starts and two relief outings. He'll likely return to a relief role, where he'll have virtually no fantasy appeal.
