Jorge Soler Knocks In Two Runs Again
6 years agoKansas City Royals slugger Jorge Soler played his part in the rout of the Tigers on Saturday by driving in a pair of runs on a couple of hits. Soler is only hitting .254 on the season and is striking out a whopping 34% of the time, but he's made improvements to both in the last two games. He's struck out zero times so far in the Detroit series, and he's racked up six hits in his last 10 at-bats. It's likely just a hot series, but if Soler can once again embrace the idea of contact over swinging from his heels, he could still be a valuable player this year instead of a batting average sink that happens to hit home runs on a fairly regular basis.
