Jorge Lopez Struggles Again
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jorge Lopez was hit hard for the second time in a row on Sunday as he surrendered four earned runs and eight hits to the Yankees over seven innings. Lopez did strike out six and has now struck out 29 batters in 30 innings pitched, but this was the second outing in a row where he gave up four earned. Lopez has been plagued by the long ball so far. He surrendered three home runs to the White Sox earlier in the week, and a three-run shot did the majority of the damage on Sunday. Lopez has shown some promising signs, but he's nothing more than a risky streamer at the moment. He'll host the Angels in his next start.
