Jorge Lopez Chased Early By Angels
6 years agoThough he was spotted a seven-run lead, Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Jorge Lopez struggled and was removed from the game before finishing the fourth inning on Saturday. Lopez's start fell apart in the fourth when he suddenly lost his touch and walked the bases loaded with one out after a lead off single. A couple singles later, and Lopez was headed to the showers. The Royals would go on to win thanks to a big old nine-spot by the offense, but this makes three straight outings for Lopez where he's allowed four earned runs. Some things are attractive about Lopez, such as his 31 strikeouts in 33 2/3 innings so far, but he's unpredictable at best. He should be avoided for now and shouldn't be thrown against the Rays next week.
