Jordan Zimmermann Makes Rehab Start Thursday
6 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (elbow, gluteus) allowed five hits (two home runs) and four earned runs while walking none and striking out six in 4 2/3 innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Toledo on Thursday night. The veteran right-hander threw 51 of his 69 pitches for strikes. The results weren't great, but it looks like Zimm came out of the outing healthy. He might need one more rehab start before rejoining the Tigers starting rotation. Zimmerman will be returning to an 0-4 record, 5.93 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 11 walks and 21 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings over six starts. He should be avoided in all mixed leagues when he's back.
