Jordan Lyles Solid In Loss To Angels
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Jordan Lyles battled for six innings on Tuesday and allowed three runs in the club's 6-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. The veteran right-hander threw lots of strikes (69%) and whiffed five batters. Lyles allowed just five hits but three of them went for extra bases — including a solo homer by Mike Trout. The Rangers' bullpen then allowed another three runs immediately upon his exit. Lyles has a 4.64 ERA with a K-BB of 18-3 through 21 1/3 innings in 2021. His command has not been as strong as his control and he's allowed five home runs so far. If you're desperate for pitching help in your fantasy league, Lyles is a respectable option against weaker offenses.
