9 months agoThe Cleveland Indians recalled outfielder Jordan Luplow from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday and optioned outfielder Greg Allen to Columbus in a corresponding move. Allen was hitting a putrid .105 with two doubles and six RBI in 19 games this year while striking out 14 times and walking twice. He's a better defender and base runner, but Luplow offers more with the bat and should be an AL-only target. Luplow hit .353 (12-for-34) with two homers and six RBI in nine games at Columbus. Manager Terry Francona said that Luplow will play against left-handed pitchers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
