Jordan Love Won't Practice Until He Has An Extension
5 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will not practice at training camp until he has a new deal, according to general manager Brian Gutekunst. Love's camp informed the Packers of his decision on Saturday. Gutekunst said that a deal could get done in the coming days, but that deals also take time. "I feel we're close," Gutekunst said. While Love won't practice until he has a new deal, this isn't a holdout, as he's in the building and will take part in meetings. Love's extension is expected to exceed $50 million per year after he excelled in his first full season as the starter in 2023 with 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 regular-season starts. The 25-year-old also led the Packers to a playoff upset win over the Dallas Cowboys on the road. Contract aside, Love heads into the 2024 campaign as RotoBaller's No. 11-ranked fantasy QB after his big 2023 season.
