Jordan Howard Officially Ruled Out
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard (knee) has officially been ruled out for Week 12 against the New York Giants, according to head coach Nick Sirianni. Howard suffered a knee sprain in last week's win over the New Orleans Saints and is likely to miss additional time. Miles Sanders returned from Injured Reserve last Sunday and should split most of the backfield touches with Boston Scott for as long as Howard remains sidelined. Rookie Kenneth Gainwell, who was a healthy scratch for the first time in 2021 last week, will be active but isn't likely to have a big role on offense behind Sanders and Scott. Fantasy managers should consider Sanders the safer play as an RB2, while Scott will be a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex against a Giants defense that has allowed 119.7 rushing yards per game this season.
