Jonathan India Scratched Due To Leg Injury
8 months agoUpdating a previous report, Cincinnati Reds infielder Jonathan India (leg) was scratched from Monday's lineup against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers due to a left-leg contusion that he suffered when he was hit by a ball during batting practice before the game. Manager David Bell initially said that India would serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff, but the team has decided against that now. Will Benson is now serving as the DH and batting eighth, while Bubba Thompson starts in center field and hits in the nine-hole against Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby. Outfielder Stuart Fairchild is in right field and hitting leadoff. Fairchild gains some DFS steam on Monday now that he's hitting atop the batting order. For now, fantasy baseball managers should consider India day-to-day and check back on Tuesday to see if he's back in the lineup.
