7 years agoToronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas got the job done on Friday against the Spurs, picking up another big double-double in his 30 minutes. Valanciunas went for 15 points on a stellar 7-for-10 shooting. He was crashing the boards well and piled up a team-high 11 rebounds in the winning effort. JV managed to swipe away one steal, but was a bit sloppy with the ball, committing three turnovers in this one. It's unclear if the Raptors trust in the Lithuanian big man is growing, or if they're simply attempting to showcase him for the trade market. Either way, Valanciunas has been a lot better as of late, but may run into some trouble on Saturday as the Raptors head to Minnesota to take on Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves.--Matthew Thomas
