Jonas Valanciunas Plays Just 13 Minutes In Loss
6 years agoToronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas had a decent scoring night but hardly played in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. In his measly 13 minutes, Valanciunas scored just 10 points, on an inefficient 3-for-10 shooting. He didn't do much else either, with just three rebounds and one steal. The Raptors got eviscerated with Valanciunas on the floor, which would explain the low minutes. He was -21 in just 13 minutes, so head coach Nick Nurse, had no choice but to pull him. This shouldn't be a regular occurrence for Valanciunas, but when he’s as bad as he was on Monday, his minutes will be cut. Hopefully, Valanciunas can bounce back against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. He may get the start in that one as well, so he can match-up with bruising center Joel Embiid.
