Jonah Jackson Ruled Out For Lions
11 months agoDetroit Lions offensive guard Jonah Jackson (knee) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's NFC Championship game on the road in San Francisco against the 49ers. Jackson was injured in the Divisional Round win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday and underwent surgery to fix a minor meniscus tear in his knee. It's unclear if the 26-year-old would be able to suit up for the Super Bowl in a couple weeks if the Lions advance past the 49ers. Jackson's absence isn't good news for quarterback Jared Goff or the team's ground game with running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. Kayode Awosika is expected to start at left guard for Detroit against a strong 49ers defensive line.
