Johnny Munoz Jr. not only lost his UFC debut but lost the first bout of his professional career. Munoz's ground game helped him win the first round. After three low blows, a point was taken from his score later on in the contest. Striking-wise, Munoz landed 129 strikes, with 49 of those being significant strikes. He only scored two takedowns out of 16 but held a total of 9:42 minutes of control time, nearly two complete rounds. At the end of the day, his opponent landed a takedown with about a minute left in the third round, sealing the round and the contest. It's going to take a few more outings to really watch his progression and see if Munoz can continue to grow.--Matt Bricker
