Johnny Gaudreau Dies At Age 31
3 months agoColumbus Blue Jackets winger Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, were killed Thursday when they were struck by a car while riding bicycles. The incident occurred in their home state of New Jersey. Gaudreau, who turned 31 a couple of weeks ago, left behind a wife, Meredith, and two young children, Noa and Johnny. After getting drafted in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL draft by the Calgary Flames, Gaudreau skated in 763 regular-season games, scoring 243 goals and 743 points. He's the fifth-highest scoring player in Flames history with 609 points (210 goals, 399 assists). Gaudreau, a seven-time NHL All-Star and a Lady Byng Memorial Trophy winner, spent the last two seasons with the Blue Jackets.
