John Brebbia Earns One-Out Save Tuesday
6 months agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher John Brebbia earned his second save of the season in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Astros. Rookie Jonathan Cannon took a shutout into the ninth inning but allowed runners to reach first and second with two outs, at which time the team turned things over to Brebbia. The 34-year-old veteran kept the shutout intact by inducing a ground-out to end the game. 13 different players have seen save opportunities for the White Sox this season. Most of them have gone to Michael Kopech, but he has struggled throughout the season. Brebbia hasn't done much better, having seen just three save opportunities with a 5.81 ERA in 26 1/3 innings pitched. Fantasy managers should try to avoid the White Sox' bullpen if possible.
