Joe Ross Can't Hold Lead In Bulk Outing

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross took over for Paolo Espino Wednesday in the holdover suspended game from Tuesday against the New York Mets, and he wasn't able to hold onto the 4-1 lead he was staked to. Ross gave up four runs on six hits and a walk in five innings while striking out two batters. He took a no-decision in the contest. Ross now has a 4.17 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 109 strikeouts in 108 innings on the season. He's a serviceable starting pitcher, especially in two-start weeks, but he shouldn't be a top roster priority.
