Joe Musgrove Limits Giants To Two Hits, Two Walks On Monday
Joe Musgrove threw six shutout innings in his most recent outing on Monday against the San Francisco Giants. The veteran also allowed a pair of hits and a pair of walks while striking out seven. He needed just 86 pitches to get through the six innings and finished the day with a 38% CSW rate and 11 swinging strikes. Four of Musgrove's 11 swinging strikes came via his slider. For the season, the 29-year-old now owns a 2.93 ERA, a 3.59 FIP, and 184 strikeouts in 181 innings. He's also walked just 42 batters.
