Joe Mixon's Return Doesn't Appear to be on the Horizon
Joe Mixon (ankle, foot) "doesn't seem like he'll be back from injury anytime soon," according to Billy Heyen of The Sporting Tribune. With Mixon still on the Non-Football Injury list, veteran Nick Chubb took over Houston's backfield early on. However, rookie Woody Marks played a season-high 48% of the offensive snaps in the Week 3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars after playing just 11% of the snaps in Week 1. He had six carries for 27 yards and caught one pass for a nine-yard gain. With the Texans' struggling offense apparently going away from Dameon Pierce -- he was a healthy scratch in Week 3 -- it could signal a rise for Marks, who may be best utilized as a pass-catcher in his rookie season. Mixon should remain stashed in all fantasy leagues, but it's looking increasingly likely that he could miss most, if not all, of the 2025 season.
